This is the first work of the artist that was created during the full-scale invasion as a reflection on the events taking place. Art can sometimes be more powerful than bullets, so that was the first one. We needed a symbol of resistance that would, firstly, motivate people to unite and fight, and secondly, it should tell our story to the world in an understandable language - the language of art, so that we could stand up and get support. It was also a warning to the occupiers who came to our land, only death awaits them here, so that is why the work is called "Welcome to free Ukraine", because we will fight, fight for freedom and victory, and they [occupiers] will lie in the fields of sunflowers like fertilizer.
